Fae Farm invites you to plunge into the magical world of the island of Azoria. There you have to build your homestead, grow crops on the farm, breed animals, brew potions, cook, and much more. And, of course, like other farming sims, Fae Farm has Fishing. This activity will help you relax a little and also catch different ingredients for cooking. But to catch rare species, players need to upgrade their Fishing Rods and level up their Fishing skills. So, read on to find out how to fish in Fae Farm.

Once in Azoria, you will find your new home right away. Of course, it is a little abandoned, but you can restore it after you advance further in the story and complete several quests. Some of them will ask you to catch fish or prepare a dish from it. Luckily, Fishing is one of the first mechanics that Fae Farm teaches you.

In the first 10 minutes of the game, you meet Eddie, a fisherman in Azoria. He loves to fish, so he will happily give you a Basic Fishing Rod and tell you how to fish at Fae Farm. To do this, you need to take just a few steps:

Go to any body of water and hold down the left click or A button.
Select in which direction and how far you want to cast the line and release the button.
Fish may immediately bite the bait, or they may ignore it. So, you have to jiggle by pressing the same button to lure it.
After this, a simple mini-game will begin. Hold down the left mouse button or the A button to reel, but when the fish tries to swim away from you, you must release the button to relax, or the Fishing Rod will break.
Keep doing this until the fish is in your hands.

How To Upgrade Fishing Skills

As with other skills in Fae Farm, the Fishing skill can only be upgraded by catching fish. Fortunately, this activity does not require any consumables from you. In addition, you can stock up on valuable ingredients.

For each new level, you will upgrade your Fishing stats, such as Reeling Power. Moreover, after reaching certain levels, new Fishing Rods will become available to you for purchase from Eddie:

Sturdy Rod (1,000 Gold) – Unlocked after Fishing Skill level 3.
Advanced Rod (2,500 Gold) – Unlocked after Fishing Skill level 5.
Master Rod (5,000 Gold) – Unlocked after level 7 Fishing Skill.
