On Tuesday, sources with direct knowledge revealed to TMZ that the rapper was in the studio creating content for his next release. According to the insiders, West was in a great headspace and had completed nearly ten tracks in the past weeks. The sources further threw more light on what to expect from Kanye West’s new album. They noted that the music and themes will feature less political theatrics and more of the “old Kanye sound.”
Meanwhile, the sources said Ty Dolla Sign, the singer’s frequent collaborator has also been frequenting the recording studio. What’s more, the pair have allegedly been having talks regarding a possible joint album in addition to Kanye West’s solo project. So far, there is no information regarding the release date for the new songs. However, the reported musical comeback will mark a poignant moment for West, who has been roped into controversies in recent times.

The report about Kanye West’s solo project comes hours after Jesus Is King 2, the follow-up to West’s 2019 gospel album, allegedly leaked. Variety reported that the record, created in collaboration with Dr. Dre featured 15 tracks. Most of the tracks include remixes of songs from the first version. In addition, the outlet noted that the album had new verses from Eminem, Travis Scott, and Snoop Dogg. Other featured acts include Pusha T, 2 Chainz, A$AP Ferg, Marsha Ambrosius, and more. The sequel album was first announced in November 2019, but sadly, it never arrived.
