Lords of the Fallen is the latest souls-borne game released this year after the success of Lies of P. This is actually the rebooted version of the game that was released back in 2014. The game is currently available for both next-gen consoles and PC, and we’ve already published guides for the game, like how to farm Vigor if you want a little help. And if you want to know whether Lords of the Fallen has the Denuvo DRM, here is the answer.

Does Lords of the Fallen Use Denuvo DRM?

The good news for PC players who don’t like Denuvo is that Lords of the Fallen does not use Denuvo. Many studios and publishers use this anti-piracy DRM nowadays. While it is a strong DRM and has decreased the piracy of games, it comes at a cost. The cost is the bad performance of games on PC. Many games in recent years, like The Callisto Protocol, had significant performance issues on PC because of Denuvo DRM.

Not only that, but in some cases Denuvo has caused issues for players who use Steam Deck and PC to play the game, and Denuvo locking the game for suspicious activity.

This was confirmed by the official game account on the X social platform (formerly known as Twitter) when a fan asked whether the game features Denuvo DRM. The admin responded that not only does the game not use it, but it “will never feature Denuvo” in the future as well.

We are pleased to confirm that Lords of the Fallen does not, and will never feature Denuvo.

As mentioned in our review of Lords of the Fallen, the game suffers from performance and technical issues. Since it doesn’t use Denuvo, that means that it might be fixed with a few updates and won’t stay in that state because of the DRM.

Lords of the Fallen is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
