There are vampires and vampiric powers everywhere you look in the latest season of Diablo IV, the Season of Blood. One of the primary bosses that you are required to go against is Lord Zir, an ancient vampire. He has a nefarious history within the world of Diablo IV as being among the Firstborn nephalem as well as for surviving the Purge. This Dark Master is pretty easy to find and defeat, so we wrote out exactly where to find Lord Zir in Diablo 4 and how to defeat him.

You first encounter Lord Zir during the A Serpent Cornered quest where you will be asked to put an end to the terror that he is causing against Sanctuary. To fight him, you’ll need to enter the Ancient’s Sear dungeon in World Tier 4 and offer nine Exquisite Blood vials to the Bloodied Altar.

Obtaining Exquisite Blood isn’t too difficult to do either. You just need to complete Legion and World Boss events within World Tier 4.

How To Beat Lord Zir

When you fight Lord Zir, there are a few things that you’re going to want to keep in mind. First, keep him backed into a corner so that his most dangerous move, the Blood Pools, will only be concentrated in a single area as opposed to the entire area. You will also want to prioritize the Blood Seekers when Lord Zir summons them because they will begin crowding the area and making it difficult to attack otherwise.

Some moves, including Wing Flap and Blood Orbs, have a delay before he can initiate them, marking on the ground where the attack will land. You will need to be careful in luring Zir into a corner and dodging the attacks.
