Although Rihanna has dropped a few singles over the years, she has largely stepped away from music to focus on her business ventures and personal life. However, since she’s been teasing her next album for a while, her performance at the 2023 Super Bowl sparked rumors that she was getting ready to make a comeback. It’s been eight months since then. Now, fans have finally received an update on those rumors — Rihanna is going on tour and releasing new music.
A Source Claims Rihanna Is Going On Tour In 2024
ET has reported that Rihanna is going on tour in 2024; the trek will apparently continue into 2025. There are also rumors she’ll release new music soon. As for whether that means a new single or a new album remains unclear. The reports come following a recent deal that Rihanna made with Live Nation. The singer has yet to confirm the music news herself. However, the rumors are not too far-fetched, considering Rihanna teased new material just a few months ago.
In a Feb. 15 interview with British Vogue, the star told the publication she had planned to drop a new album in 2023.
“I want it to be this year. Like, honestly, it’d be ridiculous if it’s not this year. But I just want to have fun. I just want to make music and make videos.”
Since fans have been waiting so long to see the singer in concert again, they’re overjoyed at the reports that Rihanna is going on tour next year. “Rihanna is planning a tour! I can’t breathe,” one fan wrote on X. “I hope Rihanna goes on tour fr,” another said.
The exciting news comes just months after Rihanna recently welcomed her second child. After announcing her pregnancy at the Super Bowl in February, Rihanna gave birth to her and A$AP Rocky‘s second son, Riot, in August. The stars are also parents to son RZA, whom they welcomed in May 2022.
If it’s true Rihanna is going on tour in 2024, maybe she’ll bring her family to a few shows. After all, they appear inseparable on Instagram.
