Return to Moria brings many new things to the survival-crafting genre and the Lord of the Rings videogame world. One of those is the ability to create your Dwarf, which many fans of this legendary series will appreciate. With different clans to choose from and a plethora of customization options, there’s a Dwarf for everyone. However, if you don’t like the initial look and want to change a few bits, here we’ll tell you how to change your character’s appearance in Return to Moria.

Thankfully, Return to Moria doesn’t have many permanent choices, which translates to character customization, too. Whether you want to change your character’s hair or body type, doing it is quite easy. These are the steps you must follow:

  1. Launch the game and click “Play” on the main menu.
  2. In the “Select Dwarf” menu, click on Create New Dwarf or Customize.
  3. Any of these choices will let you customize your character’s appearance.
  4. You can have different Dwarves to play on different worlds.

While it isn’t the most robust character creator, it has some fun options to give your Dwarf a personal touch. From a plethora of beards and hairstyles to accessories for them. Plus, you can also choose your Dwarf clan, which, while it doesn’t seem to have any gameplay impact so far, provides a few roleplaying choices for those who know about the lore in Lord of the Rings.

Remember that this choice isn’t permanent, and you can change your character’s appearance in Return to Moria anytime. The only caveat is that you must do it outside the game’s world and in the main menu. So far, we haven’t found a way to do it inside the game.

And if you want to check some customization options, the developers released a handy video showcasing how the character creator works.
