The theatrical release will arrive exactly two months after Beyoncé wrapped up her Renaissance world tour in Kansas City on Oct. 1.
Beyoncé Will Honor Her “Renaissance” Tour With A Concert Film
Fans got their first look at Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert film during her Kansas City concert. The singer debuted her movie’s official trailer shortly after ending her show and then shared the clip on YouTube. The two-minute-long video teased the movie will feature the best performances of Beyoncé on tour. According to the video’s description, Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert film will follow the star from her first show in Stockholm, Sweden, to her last performance in Kansas City, Missouri. It’ll also take fans behind the scenes of the making of the tour. Beyoncé’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy, was featured several times throughout the trailer after participating in the Renaissance tour this summer.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert film will premiere in theaters a year after the singer dropped her seventh studio album in July 2022. Renaissance marked her first solo project since 2016’s Lemonade. Unlike her previous albums, Renaissance featured primarily dance, house, and disco music. Following its release, the record became one of Beyoncé’s most successful albums in her career. It debuted with a record-breaking 43 million streams on Spotify and marked her seventh straight album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It also earned a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album and a BET Award for Album of the Year.
