To tame a Brontosaurus, you’ll need to find a way to trap and stun it. After that, you can feed it many times until you tame the beast. We’ll show you how to trap and stun a Brontosaurus in ARK: Survival Ascended in the following steps:
Step 1: Trapping
First of all, you’ll need a couple of materials to set up large bear traps. Since Brontosaurus is a big beast, you’ll need to use large traps. Visit a Refining Forge Station with the following materials and craft 2 large bear traps.
- Fiber 10x
- Metal Ingot or Scrap Metal Ingot 6x
- Hide 15x
Step 2: Stunning
After you craft your two large bear traps, you’ll need to pull the beast towards these traps. You can use your crossbow or other weapons to attract its attention and make it run to you. Once you lure the Brontosaurus into traps, it will be stuck. This is your chance to shoot tranquilizer darts and put it to sleep.
Step 3: Feeding
Make sure you have kibble or vegetables in your inventory until the Brontosaurus awakens. You’ll tame the beast and keep it calm by feeding the dino with these items. You can also use some Narcotics to keep the dino unconscious. You have to keep feeding it until it’s tamed once and for all. Taming time varies depending on the level of the dinosaur. But eventually, every dinosaur can be tamed.
