Ever since Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift began hanging out earlier this year, the NFL star has been careful about oversharing details about their budding relationship. However, now that things appear to be getting serious between them, Kelce is finally ready to give fans a glimpse into his love life. On Monday, Nov. 20, the football tight end spoke to WSJ Magazine about what it’s like dating Taylor Swift, and what he said was so sweet.

Kelce admitted that dating Swift comes with a lot of media attention. Although he has never had a girlfriend with “that kind of aura,” it hasn’t scared him away from continuing to see Swift. In fact, it’s only made him appreciate the singer even more. Despite all of the media scrutiny she gets, Kelce admires how Swift hasn’t let fame get in the way of her “enjoying life.” Seeing her handle all of the attention with so much grace has inspired Kelce to do the same.
When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.

The NFL star had so many more positive things to say about the singer. Apart from calling her “hilarious” and “a genius,” Kelce praised Swift by talking about how family-oriented she is. That was one of the biggest qualities about her that stood out to Kelce since he’s a big “family guy.”
Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.

Swift met Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, for the first time at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 24. Rumor has it she was going to meet the rest of the Kelces on Nov. 20 during the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs game. Kelce was also supposed to meet Swift’s family that day. However, those plans fell through after one of the singer’s Rio de Janeiro concerts had to be pushed to Monday.
Although Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s families couldn’t meet on Monday as planned, there have been rumors circulating that they might get together for the upcoming holidays.
