This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

There are a ton of different dangers that you can encounter in Lethal Company. However, did you ever think that metal could be dangerous? Carrying metal in Lethal Company can be quite a ride if you’re doing your best to get back to the ship unharmed. This is especially so if the moon that you’re on has a lightning storm happening. It’s a dangerous world out there, so we wrote out how to carry metal in Lethal Company.

Can You Carry Metal In A Lightning Storm In Lethal Company?

Realistically, lightning can hit you whether or not you are carrying metal. Metal is just much more conductive, meaning that you’ll be hit easier if you’re carrying it. You’ll get a notification about the electrically charged air and having any metal items out. Like in the real world, you’ll be shocked to death if the two mix.

To safely carry metal in Lethal Company you need to immediately drop it once you go outside of any building during a lightning storm and run a short distance away. There is no visible indicator of when lightning will strike and being too close to the metal when it is struck can still damage you. You will also need to wait a short while before being able to pick it up as it’s still charged right after being struck.

Realistically, the best way to avoid getting killed by rogue lightning while carrying metal is not to go to moons that currently have storms happening. Even when you aren’t carrying metal, you have a chance to be hit by lightning if there is a storm and you’re outside. It’s best to avoid it altogether if you’re capable of doing that.
