If there’s one sure thing in the world, it is that every person knows at least one Final Fantasy game. Whether it is due to the Chocobos, Blitzball, or cute, edgy guys with blonde spiky hair, everyone’s familiar with this universe Square Enix has created. With the Holiday season upon us, people are scouring every corner of the internet in the hopes of finding the best gift ideas for those Final Fantasy fans. With so many to choose from, it is crucial to pick only the best for the most dedicated Warriors of Light in the world.
5 Gift Ideas Any Final Fantasy Fan Will Love
Given the amount of games this series has, including spin-offs, it is difficult to choose just a few. However, just like the iconic party members of the series who travel to save the world, we’ve searched far and wide to save your holidays with the perfect gift ideas for your fellow Final Fantasy super fans.
1. Final Fantasy Ultimania Archives
Let’s kick off with one for the lore fans. We all know how convoluted the lore of this series can be. With every game taking place in its own setting, it can be hard to follow. However, there are certain things or characters that appear in other games and serve as a nod for fans. Those interested in the lore must have the Final Fantasy Ultimania Archives, all three of them. Each book contains lore, notes, and commentary from the creators of each of the games. The three volumes encompass details from Final Fantasy to Final Fantasy 14. Hopefully, we’ll get a new volume soon that adds the last two mainline titles.
You can find all three volumes on Amazon.
2. Play Arts Kai Figures
While we all love seeing our favorite characters on the screen, why not bring them home as action figures? Square Enix’s official website has plenty of Play Arts Kai figures with some of the most iconic heroes of the series. You can find members from Final Fantasy 10, such as Yuna and Tidus or Tifa from Final Fantasy 7, with many of the dresses she wears in the “Dressed to the Nines” trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. While they are expensive, they have a lot of detail and are some of the best in the market. Definitely something a Final Fantasy fan will love and one of the best gift ideas for this year.
Visit Square Enix’s website to find all the figures.
3. Encyclopaedia Eorzea
While we’ve stuck to all the series, let’s talk about one perfect gift for the fans of the MMO. Final Fantasy 14 has released two volumes of the Encyclopaedia Eorzea, with a third one already up for pre-order. Why is this a fantastic gift idea for Final Fantasy fans, though? Well, these books contain plenty of lore from the MMO world. From detailed information about all jobs, including their origins and armor choices, to the game’s timeline detailing every Umbral Calamity and more. This is the best gift you can give to someone who enjoys the game or those avid roleplayers who want more information to build their characters.
You can find both volumes of Encyclopedia Eorzea on Amazon.
4. Final Fantasy Soundtrack Albums
Let’s face it: all Final Fantasy games have beautiful soundtracks. Everyone knows the iconic theme of the series, but those hardcore fans can identify specific tracks from each game. Thankfully, Square Enix’s store has many albums and vinyls for those who love collecting them. You can find the recent Final Fantasy 7 Remake soundtrack or even the fantastic tunes from Stranger of Paradise. And, of course, most of Masayoshi Soken’s work in Final Fantasy 14 is also in the store alongside the work from the Primals, the MMO’s band. Forget about Christmas Carols and fire up some Final Fantasy tunes these holidays instead.
You can find all the albums in Square Enix’s store.
5. Final Fantasy Necklaces
If you really want to get fancy with gift ideas for Final Fantasy fans, you can’t go wrong with jewelry, or more specifically, necklaces. Square Enix’s merch store has plenty of jewelry for those who want to spend the big bucks on something from this legendary series. While there are watches and rings, the necklaces are beyond fantastic. You can find some with Cloud’s Buster Sword, Azem’s iconic crystal from Final Fantasy 14, Lunafreya’s pendant from Final Fantasy 15, and even a Moogle one for those who want a more “universal” necklace. They are a bit expensive but are extremely beautiful, and any fan would love to have one.
Head to Square Enix’s store to see the full catalog.
Thankfully, Final Fantasy is a huge series with a lot of merchandise for every fan. While you can always go for the safest options, such as plushies or keyrings, we recommend you hit that Limit Break on your wallet and go all out for this holiday season.
