While some misses happen, the push for video game adaptations has been on an upward trajectory. This could continue if Amazon sticks the landing for its adaptation of one of the most beloved RPG franchises. Prime Video has the first images of its upcoming Fallout TV series, giving us a look at the Brotherhood of Steel, power armor, and Walton Goggins setting the example of this interpretation of Ghouls. You can see every image from the Fallout Twitter/X account.
This is the first time these images have been publicly shown. Previously, a teaser was shown behind closed doors at the Starfield presentation at this year’s Gamescom. People who got to see it had shared their impressions, but now we know what the fuss was about on how the studio would bring Bethesda’s iconic universe to life in live-action.

Not only are there images, but we also have new details on the series from Vanity Fair, which originally shared the new look of the adaptation. While we knew that it would be set in Los Angeles at Vault 33, we now have details on the characters, which we have broken down below as described by Amazon:
- Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) as Lucy: An optimistic Vault Dweller with an all-American can-do spirit. Her peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when people harm her loved ones.
- Aaron Moten (Disjointed) as Maximus: A young soldier hides his tragic past as he serves in a militaristic faction called Brotherhood of Steel. He believes in the nobility of the Brotherhood’s mission to bring law and order to the Wasteland and will do anything to further their goals.
- Walton Goggins (Justified) as The Ghoul: The Ghoul survives the wasteland as a Bounty Hunter. He is pragmatic, ruthless, and hides a mysterious past.
- Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) as Overseer Hank: The Overseer of Vault 33 and Lucy’s father. He is eager to change the world for the better.
The story is still a mystery for the Fallout TV series. Set in Vault 33 and having Overseer Hank suggests it may start in a familiar place. The games often start in a Vault before something goes wrong that leads you to go out into the dangerous wasteland. This time, we will follow Lucy as she ventures out into a dangerous world.
The main cast members will be joined by Moises Arias (City of Ghosts), Johnny Pemberton (Superstore), Xelia Mendes-Jones (Wheel of Time), and more.
It is unknown when we will get a trailer for the Fallout TV series. It will be released on Prime Video on April 12, 2024.
