Chucky might be a pint-sized killer, but he’s also one of the most dangerous in Dead by Daylight, especially with one of his best builds. This psychopathic doll brings unique strengths and weaknesses to the game. That can make it tricky to figure out what would work best for him. He’s shorter than every other character and uses a third-person camera. He also brings a mixture of stealth and extreme aggression to the Fog. Whether you want to prioritize slowdown or go all-in on cutting survivors to pieces in Behaviour Interactive‘s horror masterpiece, these are the best Chucky builds in Dead by Daylight.
Aggression and Regression Build
(Updated on November 1, 2024 – updated builds, excerpt, and links)
Lethal Pursuer | The Nemesis |
Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage | The Onryo |
Pop Goes the Weasel | The Clown |
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance | The Artist |
Chucky has a movement speed of 110%, making him one of the slowest killers in the game and a bit challenging to learn, but don’t let that fool you. Using his Hidey-Ho power transforms him into one of the fastest and most aggressive characters, capable of dashing across the map and injuring survivors who would otherwise escape. For that reason, he’s a great fit for the same kind of aggression and regression builds that you would put on Nurse, Blight, or Spirit. The Automatic Screwdriver and Power Drill are some of the best add-ons for this Chucky build.
This aggression and regression build allows Chucky to begin the hunt immediately thanks to Lethal Pursuer, revealing the auras of all survivors at the start of the Trial. Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage helps you keep constant pressure by revealing survivors after unhooks, and it benefits from a buff thanks to Lethal. Pop Goes the Weasel causes severe damage to the first generator you kick after a hook. Combine that with Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance to automatically regress the most advanced generator and it’s easy to see why this is one of the best Chucky builds.
Slowdown Build
Corrupt Intervention | The Plague |
Deadlock | The Cenobite |
No Way Out | The Trickster |
Barbeque & Chilli | The Cannibal |
This slowdown build is arguably more reliable than the aggression and regression meta. That’s certainly true while you’re still mastering Chucky’s abilities. Controlling generator progress is a huge part of every killer’s strategy, and this build focuses on grinding survivor progress to a halt and making sure they’re stuck in the Trial with you as long as possible. It also includes an excellent information perk to keep you informed of distant generator progress and minimize your downtime between chases. The Iridescent Amulet and Portable TV are some of the best add-ons for this Chucky build.
Corrupt Intervention is arguably the best killer perk in the game, locking the three most distant generators at the start of the Trial, giving you time to start a chase. Deadlock locks the most advanced generator whenever another generator is completed. That prevents survivors from popping multiple gens at once and giving you time to defend. No Way Out is an exceptional end-game perk that blocks access to the Exit Gate switch, alerting you of survivors’ whereabouts and giving you time to cut them off. Last, Barbeque and Chili gives you info every time you hook, ensuring survivors never get a chance to breathe.
Jack-of-All-Trades Build
Tinkerer | The Hillbilly |
Pop Goes the Weasel | The Clown |
Sloppy Butcher | Generic |
No Way Out | The Trickster |
Dead by Daylight is unpredictable, but the best Chucky builds keep you ready for anything. Rather than focus on just one area of gameplay, this jack-of-all-trades build offers a strong combination. Whether you want info, stealth, regression, or delay, you get it here. Chucky’s small stature, ability to enter stealth, and rapid Slice & Dice power make him perfect for this combo. This is an adaptable build that allows you to adjust your plans on the fly, prevent quick escapes, and make sure you have the best chance to finish with a 4k. The Automatic Screwdriver and Power Drill are some of the best add-ons for this Chucky build.
Tinkerer informs you whenever a generator reaches 70% completion. It also makes you Undetectable, pairing well with Chucky’s natural stealth and blitz attacks. Pop Goes the Weasel allows you to massively regress a generator after hooking someone. That makes it great for destroying Tinkerer gens. Sloppy Butcher causes survivors to take longer to heal and lose healing progress if interrupted, though it only works with your basic / M1 attack. Last, No Way Out blocks the Exit Gate switch, allowing you to find the last survivor or make an incredible comeback in a losing game. Run this build and you’ll make Chucky look like one of the easiest killers in the game.
