The Last of Us: Remastered came to the PlayStation 4 a little over two years ago now, and last night developer Naughty Dog patched the game up in order to support Sony’s upcoming console, the PlayStation 4 Pro. This 1.07 patchย includes support for high dynamic range display (HDR), and more notes about it also reveal the quality of stereo audio has been improved for the game as well.

Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic titleย was originally (and exclusively) released for the PlayStation 3 in the summerย 2013, and it soonย became the most awarded game in recorded history, receiving over two-hundred thirty game of the year awards.
For the unfamiliar, The Last of Usย follows Joel, a hardened survivor, who has inadvertently been tasked with taking the game’s second protagonist, a teenagedย girl named Ellie, across a ruined and run-down United States. The game takes place of the course of the four seasons, each one slowly changing the relationship that Joel and Ellie have with one another, right up until the game’sย final moment in the Spring.
This pastย September, Digital Foundry learned fromย Naughty Dogย thatย The Last of Us: Remasteredย will “run at native 4K on PS4 Pro” and that the game will also be playable at 60 frames per second. Players who alreadyย have the game can go and download update 1.07 now on their PlayStation 4. For thoseย with HDR televisions,ย The Last of Us: Remasteredย will automatically switch to the the high dynamic range display when you start the gameย up.

Naughty Dog’s other hugely popularย game, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is also expected to receive a patch that supportsย gameplay on the PS4 Pro as well as HDR.
The PlayStationย Pro will be released on November 10th and priced at $400.
