Similar to other farm simulators, one of your main routines in Coral Island will be taking care of your animals. This is an important process because you get plenty of useful resources, such as milk from cows, so it’s important to provide proper housing for your animals. And now, you will learn how to build a barn in Coral Island. To do this, you will need to visit Carpenter and have some resources with you.
Coral Island: How to Build a Barn
Similar to other buildings in the game, to build a barn, you will need to visit a Carpenter. You can come here any day of the week from 09:00 to 17:00, except Sunday, when the store closes earlier. Dinda, Joko, Surya, and Archie live there and will be happy to help you make your wishes come true. When you visit the Carpenter, you can purchase the barn blueprint, but like other buildings, you will need to pay for it. Here is what you need to have:
- Bronze bar x5
- Fiber x10
- Stone x100
- Wood x200
- Coral Coins x3000
Once you do this, you can go to the farm to build a barn. This building covers an area of 8×5, so make sure you have enough space. Once you find a suitable location, just start the building, which will take 2 days, and then a brand-new level 1 barn will be standing on your farm. This barn can accommodate 4 animals. It is worth noting that you can’t place all types of animals there, but only a few initial ones, if your city rank allows it. Here are the animals that can be placed in a level 1 barn:
- Cows
- Sheeps
How to Upgrade a Barn
If you want to increase the capacity of your barn and put 8 animals in it, you will need to upgrade the building to level 2. Similar to building, to upgrade the barn, you will need resources:
- Fiber x10
- Hardwood x40
- Stone x100
- Coral Coins x6500
In case of a lack of materials, you can again visit Carpenter because he sells not only blueprints but also materials that you may need to build or improve buildings. As in the previous case, you will need to wait 2 days until the barn is upgraded. Once it is done, you will be able to not only put more animals in there but also settle new species, such as:
- Goats
- Pigs
- Llamas
- Luwaks
Regardless of the level of the barn, it will still occupy the same area, so you don’t have to worry about running out of space on the farm. Also, it is worth noting that soon, the developers plan to add a level 3 barn, so you can accommodate even more different animals in a larger number.
Coral Island is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
