The Walking Dead returns this Sunday with an all new episode titled “The Cell.” After a look into the Kingdom and its ruler Ezekiel last week, The Walking Dead will again shift gears taking use to another all new location…the Sanctuary. It is here, where Negan resides along with the now captive Daryl. From the previews, we can expect a more in-depth look at the character Dwight and the emotional fallout Daryl is suffering from his actions in the premiere episode which led to Glenn’s death. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Norman Reedus commented that Daryl, will “never be able to forgive himself” for what happened to Glenn. It’ll be interesting to see how Daryl handles this guilt and how it could be used against him by Negan.

We first met Dwight in the episode “Always Accountable” back in season six of The Walking Dead. At that time, he was on the run from the Saviors. Since that time he has been folded back in but clearly not without a personal cost. When looking at the sneak peek for this episode, it appears that even though Dwight is back with the Saviors, he’s not very happy. Those familiar with the comics may have a pretty good idea of what direction Dwight might be headed but we’ll have to wait and see how it plays out.
