If you want to catch a Dunebopper in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to unlock The Oasis first. The Oasis is an area in the Glittering Dunes biome of Eternity Isle, and you’ll need to have accessed The Plains by completing Jafar‘s “The Sands in the Hourglass” quest first. After you’ve spent 6,000 Mist to unlock The Oasis, head over to the pool in the area. This is the only fishing spot in the area, and it’s also the only place where Dunebopper fish spawn.
To catch a Dunebopper, keep an eye out for blue ripples. Since you only have the one pond to fish it, you’ll need to fish in the white ripples until a blue one cycles in at random. If the RNG isn’t in your favor or you’re impatient, you can always use Miracle Fishing Bait or Extra Miraculous Fishing Bait to turn the white ripples gold. This increases the chances of spawning a blue ripple in the Oasis pond. You’ll get more rare fish this way, which is a bonus if you’re looking to make some money or one of the new dishes.
Once you’ve found the right fishing spot, catching a Dunebopper is just like catching any other fish. It’s not guaranteed that you’ll get a Dunebopper the first try. However, keep trying blue ripples and eventually, you’ll be rewarded with this odd-looking fish. Duneboppers can be eaten for 1,100 energy or sold for 550 coins. We recommend holding onto it if you haven’t completed Goofy‘s new friendship quest, “The Ones That Got Away”, yet.
