This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

The Finalsย gives you three contestant types to work with, one of whom is the Light contestant. They move fast, useย weaponsย ideal in hit-and-run attacks, and throw grenades. Light contestants aren’t durable and quickly go down without cover or dodging, meaning drawn-out firefights aren’t recommended. To survive and assist your teammates, try these recommendations to find the best Light build forย The Finals.

Best Light V9S Pistol Build

  • Primary Weapon: V9S Pistol
  • Specialization: Cloaking Device
  • Gadgets: Breaching Charge, Goo Grenade, Pyro Grenade

The V9S Pistol is great for short burst attacks, letting you fire and duck behind cover quickly. Most of your encounters should be at mid-range, where this pistol shines. It’s also great for sneak attacks if you can sneak up on players with the Cloaking Device. The DPS allows you to finish anyone off who is weak without the recoil throwing you off much.

Using the Cloaking Device is perfect for sneaking up on players, especially those who are defending a cashout or deposit point. It protects you from turrets and allows you to get into position. Your position can be revealed, but it’s easier to confuse other players before that happens.

Best Controller Settings for The Finals

The Goo Grenade is perfect for slowing down enemies and forcing them to find alternative routes. Use the Breaching Charge to set up traps for unsuspecting players and the Pyro Grenade for further deterrence. If you are lucky, you can also use these offensively when players group around a cashout point.

This is the best Light build for setting up hit-and-run tactics in The Finals. It’s also friendly for players using the controller because your arsenal doesn’t always depend on precision. Stay within mid-range and sneak up on players to take them down, leaving as quickly as you arrive.

Best M11 SMG Build

  • Primary Weapon: M11 SMG
  • Specialization: Evasive Dash
  • Gadgets: Breaching Charge, Pyro Grenade, Smoke Grenade

If you want a more offensive style, using the M11 SMG as your primary weapon is recommended. For the best offensive Light build inย The Finals, you want to deal damage quickly and stay in battle. This means threatening enemies with repeated fire and tearing through their health if they come close. Mid-range combat is great, but the M11 shines in some close-combat situations.

The Finals Needs These Changes To Be Outstanding

The Evasive Dash helps you move around quickly while dodging enemy fire. It’s great in indoor areas where you can duck behind pillars, dash into another room, or drop to another level. If you find yourself outdoors, hide behind trees or duck into an alleyway to avoid gunfire. After getting a brief moment to reload or prepare a gadget, you can jump back out to keep fighting.

Smoke Grenades provide adequate cover in a pinch while confusing enemies. It’s also great for giving allies cover in case someone is in a bad situation. The Breaching Charge serves as a good deterrent in case people try to follow you. Throw the Pyro Grenade to force enemies to change position or into a group to burn them. The Pyro Grenade is also good for forcing enemies to leave if they are defending a cashout point.

The Light contestant has enough equipment at their disposal for hit-and-run tactics or an offensive attacker. Either build will help improve your performance and give you the chance to help your team in combat.
