Axiom and Umbra aren’t normally holly jolly places, but that’s changing now that the Season of Revelry has started in Lords of the Fallen. This holiday event is part of the developer’s ambitious content plan for 2023 and aims to bring a series of changes to the game. These range from holiday twists on Vestiges to QoL changes, spells, items, and more. This Soulslike has seen consistent updates since its release, and while this free two-part holiday event may not revolutionize the game, it’s impactful enough that every LotF fan should have their eye on it. Here’s everything you need to know about the Season of Revelry in Lords of the Fallen.
Season of Revelry Kicks off in Lords of the Fallen
The Season of Revelry event is coming to Lords of the Fallen in two parts. Offerings of Orius starts today, and Trial of the Three Spirits takes over on December 21st. During both parts of the event, you’ll have a chance to get your hands on some cool new powers and other holiday surprises. Here’s everything you can expect to see in Offerings of Orius:
- Six new spells, including Holy Arrow Shot, Immolation, and Radiant Shield Throw
- New projectiles including Blood Vomit, Frost Worms, and Explosive Mines
- New boss weapon abilities including those for the Abbess’s Greatsword and Father of Misery’s Greathammer, unlockable by completing secret tasks
- Vestiges with a seasonal makeover
Here’s what you can expect to see during the Trial of the Three Spirits once it starts on December 21st:
- Three new questlines, weapons, and armor sets, representing each of the three gods (Orius’ Radiance, Adyr’s Rhogar, and the Umbral), unlockable by completing certain “arduous ordeals”
- New grievous attacks, two unique finishers that every family of weapon gets, usable while wielding the weapon with one hand or two
- In-game character appearance reset
- Storage box with space for up to 2,000 items in the Skyrest Bridge Coffer
- Gamepad Rebind so that controller players can customize just as much as M+K players
- Snowball fights
New spells and abilities are always nice, but the additional questlines, appearance reset, and grievous attacks might be the most exciting additions of all. Based on what we’ve seen, this holiday season is the perfect time to grab your Lamp, put together your best Umbral build, and venture into the darkness once more.
