A Rift in Time DLC brings a new map to Disney Dreamlight Valley with tons of content. It includes new characters, quests, critters, fish, and more. However, in addition to various valuable items, some garbage also appeared in the game. Plastic Scrap can certainly seem like useless garbage to you, and you would only be partly correct. It can be used for crafting and even completing some quests. However, finding it can be quite hard if you don’t know where to look.

Even though Plastic Scrap is garbage in Disney Dreamlight Valley, it won’t be lying around under your feet. You need to fish in the water bodies of Eternity Isle. To be more precise, you need to fish in places where there are no ripples in the water. It gives you a 50% chance of catching Fish or Plastic Scrap in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Also, we recommend that you take a fishing companion with you to increase the amount of your catch.

Alternatively, you can get Plastic Scrap by destroying piles of rubble. This is a more efficient way to obtain this material. But it will only become available to you after you complete the Village Project Timeless Trash quest and create the Small Rubble Shovel Potion.

What Is Plastic Scrap Used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

After collecting enough Plastic Scrap, players can sell it for 10 Star Coins apiece. However, you should save 12 Plastic Scrap, for 12 for Goofy’s Stall at Ancient’s Landing. In addition, some crafting recipes also require these materials:

  • Adirondack Chair – 3 Tropical Wood, Brass Ingot, and Plastic Scrap.
  • Yellow and Blue Speckled Path – Plastic Scrap and Topaz.
  • Green and Purple Speckled Path – Plastic Scrap and Alexandrite.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Plastic Scrap in Disney Dreamlight Valley. You’ll need this resource to repair the Goofy Stall, so you’ll want to use each method to find it:

  • Fishing – Fish in the waters of Eternity Isle where there are no ripples on the water.
  • Destroying Piles of Rubble – Progress until you can start the Village Project Timeless Trash quest and upgrade your Shovel.
