Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell decided her last weeks of life would play out on her mom’s reality show. TMZ reports that WEtv cameras were rolling, with the family’s blessing, as the 29-year-old lived out the final weeks of her life in hospice care at Mama June Shannon’s home. Anna, who was open about the issues she had as she battled stage four adrenal carcinoma, wanted her truth shared up until the very end.
Crews Concluded Filming Hours Before Her Death
Anna passed away at Mama June Shannon‘s home, where she was being cared for. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing — including her siblings, husband, and daughters. We now know that camera crews for Mama June: From Not to Hot were also there, concluding their filming with her just hours before Anna’s death on Sunday.
The family was able to share those final hours together privately. Sources claim that there were no cameras at the funeral. Anna had given her permission for all these moments to be shared, but WEtv reportedly wanted to provide the family with private time to process the loss.
Anna’s Funeral Was Attended by Loved Ones, Family, and Fans
Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell was celebrated in a funeral held on Thursday, Dec. 14. Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson and Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird. Mama June was there with Anna’s 11-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, who is now in her custody.
Following the service, Anna is to be cremated. Her ashes will be divided among her close family.
