Every Pokemon Master has one goal: catching all Pokemon, which means anyone playing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk is looking for where to find Reshiram and how to capture it. This legendary creature from the fifth generation has made its way to Paldea, and as one of the most beloved ones from Unova, trainers worldwide want to add it to their Pokedex. However, the game doesn’t make things easy. You’ll need to finish several quests and do a bit of exploring before adding this dragon to your party.

When playing the game’s second DLC, you’ll receive some BBQs or Blueberry Quests. Completing them will give you access to Snacksworth after you finish the main story of The Indigo Disk. If you’re already in this part of your journey, follow these steps:

  1. Finish BBQs and return to Snacksworth.
  2. Keep talking to the NPC until you receive the Reshiram Treat.
  3. The order of obtaining these items is random, so you’ll have to grind for a while.
  4. Head to the game’s main area and travel to Zapapico.
  5. Head south of the city and climb the mountain where the small waterfall is.
  6. You’ll spot Reshiram above this area.

How To Capture Reshiram

Now that you’ve found Reshiram in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk, it’s time for reckoning. As always, save your progress before facing the Pokemon. If you want to get its health down quickly, we recommend bringing a Fairy-type Pokemon and any other creature with sleep or paralyze. To make things easier, get the creature down to its red HP bar and throw some Ultra Balls. We advise against using Master Balls for this unless you truly want a guaranteed capture. However, it’s better to reset the encounter if you defeat it by accident or run out of items.

We’re glad to see the game’s Pokedex increase so much and bring many beloved legendaries from the series to Paldea. While we all miss having all the hundreds of pocket creatures in one game, the ones in the region will do. Plus, there’s a hefty number of Pokemon to capture and others you can transfer from Pokemon HOME if you have the app. So, start grinding those quests, buy as many Ultra Balls as possible, and journey to this new region to capture all the legendary Pokemon that have appeared.
