Should You Choose Denny or Henry in Cyberpunk 2077? (Second Conflict)

Only the best can rock out with Samurai.

V probably never expected to get up close and personal with a Samurai reunion. Well, that’s exactly what Johnny drags them into in Cyberpunk 2077. But the only way that can happen is to get the whole band back together. There’s just one problem. Denny and Henry aren’t quite fond of each other. This means that during the Cyberpunk 2077 side job “Second Conflict,” V has a choice: play with Denny or Henry.

Choosing Between Henry and Denny

Before you’re ever presented with the choice between Denny and Henry in Cyberpunk 2077, you must complete the previous parts of “Second Conflict.” So, you’ll first call Nancy and go to Totentanz. It’s here where some parts of the quest will differ based on your earlier decisions during “The Pickup” quest. This gives you three possible meet-up options at Totentanz:

  • Brick (if you rescued him)
  • Patricia (if you failed to rescue Brick and killed Royce and Dum Dum)
  • Royce and Dum Dum (if you resolved the mission without bloodshed)

Brick is the only way you can walk in and out of the area with ease. With Patricia, you’ll instantly fight your way out. However, Royce and Dum Dum can give you the chance to sneak out instead. No matter, the quest merges once you leave Totentanz and head with Nancy in her car to Denny’s mansion.

Who’s Better For the Band?

From the moment you pull up to Denny’s gate and see the muddy tire tracks leading through the bushes, you know things are bad. By the time V reaches the back, it’s quite clear that Denny and Henry have dug in their heels about the Samurai reunion. One won’t play if the other is playing.

That places V squarely in the middle of this borderline soap opera drama. Unlike the choice from “The Pickup,” deciding between Denny and Henry has no long-term effect in Cyberpunk. It’s all artificial, cosmetic even. Both will have individual lines once you have the mini-reunion show. Other than that, there’s no consequence or reward for picking one over the other.

This is incredibly designed, though. It means that you can fully roleplay and choose who you believe your V will want to play alongside. In Silverhand fashion, Johnny makes a case against both of them. So, he’s not much help in the decision. It’s all on you. So, pick who you like the most (or who annoys you the least) and get the show on the road.
