This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Both Phasmophobia and Demonologist are amazing games, but they definitely have their differences. While one may be better if you like to hide, the other can be better for looping enemies. While one focuses more on your tools, the other focuses on character customization. Overall, both look great, but you really can’t judge a book by its cover now, can you? There are pros and cons to both games, but we’re here to break it all down so you can decide which is better.

Which Game Is Better?

When it comes to deciding which of the two games is better, it’s really up to you and your personal preferences. If you prefer a scarier game, the best choice for you is Demonologist. The game is much more eerie, having more of a gothic horror-type vibe to it. Not to mention, the ghosts are definitely more active, and there’s always something lurking around the corner waiting to scare you. Additionally, Demonologist is quite a bit more difficult, and it can take quite a while to progress.

However, suppose you prefer a game that will be a bit easier and quicker for you and your friends, with many more accessibility options. In that case, Phasmophobia is the game for you. Phasmophobia offers more languages, VR support, and much easier leveling and unlocks to obtain, as well as more tools to hunt ghosts with. Though Phasmophobia provides a much simpler hunting process and a much safer one as well.

Overall, if it were up to me, I would say that Demonologist is the better game because I like a challenge, but that’s just my personal opinion. Using the information laid out for you, you can easily determine which game is better for you.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
