We have just seen the 2016 Game Awards, and with it, a flock of new trailers. So here at Thenerdstash we plan to show you the five best trailers of the show.
First off we have a new trailer for Prey. The trailer highlights many of the abilities that we have been exposed to previously, such as the glue gun, the ability to transform into common household objects, and various other forms of tactical weaponry. The trailer also highlights some of the different enemy types in the game, some of which are hulking creatures of enormous size.

Second, up we have Halo Wars 2. Although we weren’t privy to any new gameplay, we did get a chance to learn more about the game’s narrative. Detailing the enemy forces in narration while beautiful cinematics played out in the background.

One trailer that was very short-lived was that of Telltale’s new series, Guardians of the Galaxy. As the trailer plays out, a song plays through a pair of very familiar headphones (belonging to Starlord), that gradually float through space. It’s a shame we didn’t get to see anything more thorough, but with a new trailer for The Walking Dead: A New Frontier as well, we were a little spoiled when it came to Telltale content.

To many gamer’s surprised we got a substantial cinematic look at Kojima’s next project Death Stranding, at this year’s Game Awards. In typical Kojima fashion, the trailer was extremely odd in nature and meaning. A man hides under a bridge from undead soldiers and tanks with fleshy organs protruding from their innards. And at the end of the trailer, the reveal that Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen will star in the game.

Finally, the most in-depth and exciting trailer of the 2016 Game Awards. The first expansive glimpse into Mass Effect: Andromeda’s gameplay. Third person shooting mechanics very similar to Mass Effect 3, with heightened traversal and mobility abilities made available through teleportation and a jetpack. We also saw sections of an investigation, similar to Batman’s detective mode. And an in-depth scavenging and crafting system.
