When playing Monster Hunter World online, the Gathering Hub multiplayer space often runs a two-week-long event dubbed Festival. During these Festivals, they spiced up the looks of the Gathering Hub and the NPCs attending the area. But that’s not all, because you can also acquire special items and materials like Festival-exclusive armor sets. One of the armor sets you can obtain during the MHW Festival rotation is the space-themed Astral Cloth set.
MHW Iceborne: How to Unlock Astral Cloth Armor
The MHW Astral Cloth armor set is unlocked using Gratitude Tickets, obtained when the Grand Appreciation Festival is running in the Seliana Gathering Hub. There are two ways of getting the Tickets:
- Get the login bonus when you enter an online Lobby
- Complete the last three tiers of the Daily Limited Bounties.
Seliana and the later tiers of Limited Bounties can only be accessed with the Iceborne expansion. Below are the materials you need to craft the MHW Astral Cloth armor set and the Armor Skills it offers:

- Appreciation Blessing: The MHW Astral Cloth 3-piece bonus. Increase the odds of getting a VIP Gratitude Ticket at the end of a quest.
- Appreciation Blessing: 5-piece bonus, greatly increases odds of getting a VIP Gratitude Ticket at the end of a quest.
Meanwhile, for the Layered Armor version of the MHW Astral Cloth, you will need to collect VIP Tickets instead. The VIP Gratitude Tickets are randomly obtained after every quest, but you can increase their drop rate by wearing the corresponding Festival armor set.
Helping Low and High Rank Hunters’ quests can ‘up’ the chances of getting VIP Tickets too. If you have too many VIP Tickets from other Festivals, Elder Melder can meld them into VIP Gratitude Tickets for MHW Astral Cloth Layered Armor.
