As you venture deeper into the Upper City within Act 3, you’ll soon stumble upon Ramazith’s Tower, which is the home of the egotistical wizard, Lorroakan. At the bottom of the tower is a duo of incredibly powerful items: the Markoheshir Staff and the Robe of Weave. The rub? They’re both locked behind an arcane barrier that stops you from adding them to your inventory. So, for those interested in removing the arcane barrier in Baldur’s Gate 3, here are a few methods to solve this conundrum.
How to Get the Markoheshkir Staff and Robe of the Weave in BG3
As is the case with the majority of puzzles within Larian Studios’ epic fantasy RPG, there are a few different ways of removing the arcane barrier and getting the valuable loot. As a result, we’ll give you several options down below. That being said, we found the following methods to be the most effective.
See Invisibility Potion
- First of all, make sure to save your game.
- Next, use a See Invisibility Potion, which reveals the levers to disable the arcane barrier.
- Interact with the levers, however you’re going to need to pass an Intelligence check DC 20 die roll. Of course, we recommend using the member of your party with the highest Intelligence to bypass this check. If you fail the roll, reload to an earlier save. Once the roll has been achieved, the barrier will be broken and you’ll be able to obtain the items.
Specific Arcane Magic Spells or Cantrips
- Certain arcane Cantrips or Spells can also break the barrier. From our experience, we recommend using either Acid Splash, Arrow of Ice, or Arrow of Acid.
- This will initiate the Intelligence check DC 20 die roll. Once you pass this, the arcane barrier will be broken and the items will become accessible.
Are the Markoheshkir Staff and Robe of the Weave Useful Items?
The Markoheshkir is a Legendary Staff that allows its wielder to gain a +1 bonus to Spell Save DC and attack spell rolls. It also features Arcane Battery, which alleviates the arcane burden of spellcasting and allows you to cast a spell without using a spell slot. It also possesses a +3 Weapon Enchantment and Kereska’s Favour, which is a Level 4 Evocation spell that imbues its user with elemental energy sourced from the draconic goddess, Kereska.
Meanwhile, the Robe of the Weave is handy as it has an Armour Class +2 buff, an AC of 10 and a +1 bonus to Spell Save DC and spell attack rolls. Furthermore, it also boasts the Weave Eater enchantment, which grants the wearer a Saving Throw against a spell, and regains 1-6 hit points.
