Microsoft has just announced the upcoming Xbox Developer Direct 24 event, which will be taking place on January 18, 2024, only a few weeks from now. That isn’t all; Xbox has also teased some of the games we expect to get more details on during the show.ย
The image Xbox shared with the confirmation of the Xbox Developer Direct event contained the names of Ninja Theory, Oxide Games, Obsidian Entertainment, and Machine Games. We can expect to see some of their latest games in action.ย Soon after Xbox, Machine Games posted on X (formerly Twitter) that we can expect to see a gameplay reveal for the Indian Jones game the developers have been working on. And that they can not wait to show us what they’ve been cooking.ย
Xbox Developer Direct 24 – What Can We Expect?

There were rumblings of an Xbox event in January for the past few weeks, but the official confirmation has added a lot more interest for the Xbox Developer Direct because of the expected reveals.
Although we can’t know what the other developers are bringing to the table, the teaser shows Senua from HellBlade 2behind the Ninja Theory logo. Perhaps a release date for the game is finally in the cards. Because the only information we got regarding the release date of Hellblade 2 was the year 2024 in a trailer during The Game Awards.
Oxide Games might have more to show for Ara: History Untold, if not a new reveal. As for Obsidian Entertainment, their teaser shows an image of Perfect Dark, but a trailer for Avowed won’t go amiss either.
Hopefully, Xbox will also have some brand-new reveals that we aren’t expecting as well. The Xbox Developer Direct 24 kicks off on January 18, 2024, at 12 PM PT, 3 PM ET, and 8 PM GMT.
