Today, PlayStation brought Christmas early this year during PlayStation Experience 2016 earlier today. During their keynote for the event, they released quite a few exciting trailers such as the reveal ofย Last of Us Part 2ย and the new chapter ofย Uncharted. However, probably the most nostalgic of all, was the new trailer for theย remastered version of Crash Bandicoot.ย ย

In the trailer, the viewer is immediately immersed in the sounds of your childhood and greeted with an “Ooga Booga!”. The trailer begins showing some very familiar gameplay but in a new, amazing light. Vicarious Visions took it one step further and showed some comparative game footage from the upcoming game and the previous one. We also see some familiar villains (We’re looking at you, Dr. Neo Cortex!) and the famous boulder chasing level. All in all, for someone who grew up playing and loving the games, it looks perfect. Theย Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogyย will feature the first three games in the series. Let’s all be thankful that the later renditions of theย Crash Bandicootย franchise didn’t make the cut.ย ย
Naughty Dog announced that they would be remastering the old fan favorite at E3 this past yearย and that Crash would also be joining theย Skylandersย team. The rumors of a remaster started even earlier than that at E3 2015 due to a T-shirt sighting. Crash is so vital to the PlayStation’s history that people have been dying for a version of the games for current consoles. Sony was just getting started while Nintendo and Sega were having their all out war, and Sony believed they needed a mascot to make it in the industry. So, they created everyone’s favorite marsupial, Crash Bandicoot.
Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogyย has not received an official release date as of yet, but it should be available sometime next year in 2017.
