Diablo 4 Season of the Construct is upon us. It’s the third season in the relatively fresh Diablo game and it brings a lot of exciting changes that many franchise veterans have been clamoring for in the past few months. If you’re looking for even more reasons to join Diablo 4 Season of the Construct, here’s a list of some of the biggest changes. If anything, they should provide incentives for you to start over again with a new character.
Leaderboards & a New Endgame are Finally Here!
Leaderboards or just about any form of Ladderized rankings have always been staples in Diablo games’ seasonal content. Diablo 4 notably released its first season without it. The report back then was how it would take at least until the third season for Ladderized rankings of any form. Well, here it is now.
It comes in the form of The Gauntlet, which is a weekly rotating dungeon with an innate leaderboard. The leaderboard also refreshes weekly, just as how the dungeons refresh and change every week.
And get this, the top weekly players will be immortalized in the Hall of Ancients. However, it’s also worth noting that The Gauntlet might arrive later during the duration of Diablo 4 Season of the Construct. Consider The Gauntlet as the new endgame mode.
Diablo 4 WASD Movement
Bringing Diablo 4 to more contemporary ARPG standards, Season of the Construct is also adding a new movement scheme with WASD buttons on the keyboard. This should make movement more precise and seamlessly more action-oriented.
You no longer have to keep clicking and sacrifice your mouse’s LMB to hell. It might take some time to get used to, but builds like Whirlwind and even ranged builds will enjoy more fluidity.
A Customizable Companion
It also took them a while, but companions are getting reintroduced to the fray, similar to how they worked in Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. Diablo 4 Season of Construct Seneschal Companions, however, offers a more intriguing twist since they are the reason for the 3rd season’s title.
You can customize them a lot more intricately compared to the companions of the past games. The whole season’s new features or gimmicks seem to revolve around these Seneschal Companions.
Limitless Helltide
Here’s a good reason to keep playing those old characters for anyone who doesn’t want to start over. Helltides are now permanent and don’t expire. Once per hour, however, Helltides will enter a five-minute break window.
Apart from that, you can just bathe in the fiery combat of Helltide to both level up and farm some Unique items. For the Season of the Construct server, this improvement should also make leveling to 100 faster.
New Content
Of course, there’s also a new questline involved here and it’s tied with the Seneschal Companions.
You can expect this new content to come with Diablo 4 Season of the Construct and its arrival:
- Questline involving Zoltun Kulle
- Additional customization mechanics for the companion
- New Gear, Aspects, and Skills (of course)
- New Dungeons (Vaults)
- New Battle Pass
- New Cosmetics
That should make your return to hell more worth it and more competitive.
