Unholy and abhorrent deeds are the way of a cult leader, but who said love cannot be an element of a passionate following. That said, the Mating Tent is a new structure added to Cult of the Lamb with the Sins of the Flesh Update, and I don’t think I need to clarify to anyone what it’s for. The greater powers always require more followers to your flock, and what better way to build the congregation than to get your devotees to “make” more cultist disciples?
How To Build the Mating Tent Cult of the Lamb Mating Tent
Once you’ve updated your game with the Sins of the Flesh Update, the next time you hold a sermon in your church, you’ll receive a cutscene explaining the new “Sins System.” It’s a currency you’ll use for various activities, such as your Followers getting frisky. During this cutscene, you’ll gain access to new structures, including the Mating Tent. It requires 20 Gold Bars and 5 Silk Thread to be assembled.
Once your Mating Tent is set up in Cult of the Lamb, you can summon two Followers to mate; make sure their chance to breed is high enough. Note that you’ll need to spend some Sin, which you can earn via Rituals, the Drinkhouse, or the Drum Circle. You can then choose which traits of the two cultists you want to merge into their child. Once they go into the tent and do the deed successfully, you should have yourself an egg. If you’d like to have it hatch faster, consider building a Hatchery II, the structure above the Mating Tent in the build tree.
When handling the egg made by your Followers, you might notice “Crack” is an option. While cruel, this option can be useful, as the yolk can be cooked into a meal that will reduce the age of one of your devotees. This is an excellent way to make sure your favorite elders don’t die off too soon. In our case, our night-shift worker for refining resources was the best candidate.
