Pokemon Go Zweilous Raid Guide: Best Counters and Movesets

Two heads aren’t always better than one.

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

Zweilous, the two-headed draconian Hostile Pokemon of the Deino family, is a 3-Tier Raid Boss in Pokemon Go and a decent evolution skip if you’re trying to get Hydreigon. If you already have this top-tier Dark- and Dragon-type Pseudo-Legendary pocket monster, then defeating Zweilous will still be a solid means of getting some Candy for Powering Up. Zweilous’s two elemental types cause it to have the following weaknesses: Fairy, Bug, Dragon, Fighting, and Ice. Fairy counters are the most effective of these five and will deal the most damage in a Zweilous Raid in Pokemon Go.

I was with a group of six other Trainers for this Raid, so I didn’t even need to swap from Togekiss when taking down Pokemon Go Zweilous. However, even if you are soloing this 3-Tier Raid, you won’t likely even need help if you have at least three of the Fairy counters listed in the table above.

While I’d say it’s overkill, you can Mega Evolve your Gardevoir to make sure you really pack a punch during the Pokemon Go Zweilous Raid. Otherwise, the team comp in the image above should serve you nicely. For clarification, Mamoswine and Dragonite weren’t the best picks but served as tanky backups since their CP is much higher than my other Fairy types.
