Believe it or not, you don’t need the biggest Pal Spheres in the game to capture some of the toughest creatures. Palworld has a way to upgrade your Capture Power that’ll help you the more you progress through this chaotic yet colorful world. Since the game tasks you with venturing into the unknown, there are many things to discover, and certain items can help you become a better trainer and let you capture everything that crosses your path (even humans).

During your travels, there’s a chance you might’ve encountered a Lifmunk Effigy. If you thought it was a decoration item or something similar, it isn’t; this is what you need to upgrade your Capture Power in Palworld. However, like many other survival games, there’s a catch.

When you upgrade your Capture Power for the first time, it’ll only cost one Lifmunk Effigy. The second time, it’ll cost more, meaning there’s a lot of exploring ahead of you if you want to upgrade your ability to capture rare Pals. Thankfully, Lifmunk Effigies are the only green glowy things on the map, so spotting them shouldn’t be difficult.

Once you have your Lifmunk Effigy, go to your base and build a Statue of Power. Once you have the statue ready, click on Upgrade Capture Power to spend your Effigy and increase your chances of catching Pals and other denizens of these islands.

While you can keep your level as is without upgrading it, we don’t recommend doing that. You’ll soon see that some of the game’s rarest Pals require a higher Capture Power. Even if you take them down to low HP, some of them have a chance of 10% or less. Furthermore, some players have the strange objective (not judging) of capturing human NPCs to then sell them for gold, which can be quite profitable but a bit more difficult. Still, with the right Capture Power, there won’t be a single soul on the map to escape your grasp.
