Claims about Taylor Swift‘s fans getting scammed by the star’s online store have been making the rounds. Recently, a media outlet interviewed affected fans who ordered goods from Taylor Swift’s merchandise store, some as far back as November 2023. The angered Swift fans gave reports about delivery delays, not getting their products at all, and even receiving their orders in damaged conditions. Amid the chaos, the fans channeled the blame to Swift’s record label, Universal Music Group, for mismanaging the site.

Taylor Swift’s Fans Are Reportedly Getting Scammed

Taylor Swift’s online merchandise store has been selling items from the singer’s Eras Tour, including Sweaters, T-shirts, CDs, and vinyl. Unfortunately, things do not seem right with the sales, as there have been reports of Taylor Swift’s fans getting scammed. Recently, The Post spoke to some angered fans, who voiced their complaints, pointing fingers at the Universal Music Group. One of such fans, Grave Green, told the outlet that last year, she placed orders for 22 items totaling $1,044.75. Although the items eventually got to her after much delay, Green said some of them were damaged. The fan even shared pictures of a 1989 cardigan, which arrived with already-loosened yarn.

Similarly, 39-year-old Jacqueline Jordan ordered the same cardigan in November. However, she revealed that the order didn’t arrive until January 2024 after she emailed UMG’s fulfillment center, Artist Endeavor.

“Why the heck are they using a ‘small business’ to manage logistics for the world’s largest artist out of one small warehouse?” Jordan asked. “My guess is because UMG is too cheap to do the right thing,” she said.

Jordan also revealed that she launched an X account in December to hold UMG responsible for their actions. In one of the account’s posts, Jordan shared the results of a poll from Swifties, who bought the $70 Swift’s “Lover” snow globes.

Sadly, of those surveyed, 60 percent revealed they hadn’t still received their items. On the other hand, 25 percent said their globes arrived broken or dinged up. A third Swiftie also posted earlier this month that she placed an order in November and didn’t get a response for a month. Thankfully, the management eventually promised her a refund and reshipment, but unfortunately, the story has been changing.

Anyone else being lied to by @UMG? Was told around Christmas like everyone else that any items stated they would be shipped prior to 12/15 would be re-shipped & refunded.. only to be told today to “kindly disregard the previous email as it was sent in error. I'm so sorry for any…

“Sounds like @UMG is using deceptive business practices & taking advantage of long-time customers,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, an Indiana fan, Elizabeth, has revealed she’s still waiting for a $300 order she placed on November 16.

Amid the chaos, a spokesperson for Bravado, UMG’s official merchandise subsidiary, has addressed the situation. In a statement, they revealed seasonal shipping issues and unprecedented consumer demand caused the delays. However, the spokesperson promised to provide a solution. They revealed Bravado will offer a refund on items listed to be shipped by December 15. For items that didn’t make it in time for Christmas, the spokesperson revealed there would be free shipping.

“Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund transaction to process,” they said.

For Taylor Swift fans still reportedly awaiting merchandise, the spokesperson asked them to reach out directly to customer service. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, there will be more positive reports from fans.
