The 2024 Lunar New Year welcomes the Pokemon Go debut of Drampa. It’s fitting since the pocket monster so heavily resembles a dragon. There’s even a chance you’ll see a shiny variant of it.

Beyond the debut, the event will also include an increase in wild encounters with the Pokemon listed below. All of the ones on the list have a chance of being shiny:

  • Dratini
  • Fennekin
  • Magikarp
  • Noibat
  • Shuckle
  • Skrelp

Additionally, there’s a chance you can encounter a Jangmo-o. But there’s no increased chance of seeing this Pokemon shiny during the 2024 Lunar New Year event.
