Any PC gamers worth their salt must have tried their hands on modding Skyrim at least once. Bethesda’s fantasy RPG isn’t exactly the best game ever made as much as it is the best modding platform instead. In our circle, we even joked that you don’t play Skyrim with mods, but you play mods with Skyrim. Now, this popular and extremely massive fan-made expansion mod for Skyrim will no doubt call you back to the northern part of Tamriel once more.

The mod is called High Fantasy Pack- Mihail Monsters and Animals and can be downloaded through NexusMods.com. This massive 1.7 GB-sized fan-made Skyrim expansion mod will add 132 creatures, 22 weapons, 11 spells, 41 ingredients, and 35 new areas. The additional areas even include bandit camps, ruins, and variations of abandoned jail cells.

Nevertheless, the mod only works on Skyrim Legacy Edition, aka the original 32-bit version that was released in 2011. High Fantasy Pack- Mihail Monsters and Animals Mod won’t run on Legendary, Anniversary, or VR Editions. You can check some of the fresh new monsters in action through skyrimly’s mod showcase video below.

However, there is another thing that you need to keep in mind about this massive Skyrim expansion mod. The mod page on NexusMods has been set to hidden since May 30, 2022, by the mod author himself. You can still download the files, as NexusMods has a policy to keep most links active, but it means it is no longer officially supported. After you have logged in to a Nexus Account, the mod files can be accessed via this link:

  • Nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/56523?tab=files&file_id=232498

Mihail announced his retirement through his private Discord server, but he didn’t say any reason why he chose to leave the modding scene. Before he retired in December 2021, his NexusMods profile page listed 347 unique mods with more than 1,5 million profile views.
