Percival is one of the most beloved characters in the series and a heck of a DPS unit in Granblue Fantasy: Relink if you know how to build him. While his playstyle isn’t as fast as Narmaya or Zeta, he still packs a fiery punch. With several skills that buff him and make his charged attack go faster, he is someone you should try at least once in a while. Besides, who doesn’t like to run around the battlefield with a flaming sword?
How To Build Percival in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
Percival has a unique style that relies on making his charged attack as devastating as possible. Yet, that doesn’t mean you won’t use skills. On the contrary, weaving in skills and combos will ensure his charged attack goes faster and allow you to weave in some techniques in between. However, it is important to say that his playstyle takes longer to get used to, but once you nail down the basics, you’ll be ready to scorch the battlefield.
Weapon: Joyeuse
We usually recommend sticking to weapons that provide a flat attack bonus. Still, after a bit of experimenting, we realized that critical hits are better, especially with how hard they hit with Percival’s charged attack. For that, Joyeuse is the best weapon you can use in Very Hard, Maniac, and other difficulties, with new ones replacing it eventually. But, as of now, this is a good blade that’ll carry you through the endgame.
Skills and Sigils
We don’t blame you if you don’t know how to pronounce Percival’s skills, but spelling isn’t important for his build in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. What’s important is that you know when and how to pull them off. Before we talk about his rotation, here are the ones you should equip:
- Zerreissen
- Flammenmarsch
- Feurangriff
- Macht
Percival’s skills focus on inflicting damage and shortening the charge time for his charged attack. What’s important is your ability to perform a normal combo, trigger a skill, land a charged attack, and so on. Always start a fight with Flammensmarsch, followed by Zerreissen to close the gap. Continue with a normal combo and a charged attack and trigger Feurangriff. Finally, use Macht only when an enemy is in overdrive. This skill allows you to fight without interrupting your combo or charged attacks.
Since Percival relies on charging his finisher, here are the sigils you should get for him:
- Quick Charge
- Quick Cooldown
- Combo Finisher
- Attack Power
- Critical Hit Rate
- Critical Damage
- Damage Cap
You can add a few others to give him some sustain, such as Drain, but even without that, you shouldn’t worry about taking damage, provided you know the fight well.
While this build for Percival in Granblue Fantasy: Relink dishes out a lot of damage, it’ll make this warrior a glass cannon, so manage your potions well or bring a healer if possible.
