Fans are already calling for a collaboration between Dolly Parton and Beyonce. Recall that a few days ago, the Drunk In Love singer revealed that the second act of her Renaissance album would be country. Ahead of Beyonce’s country album release, Parton welcomed the Grammy winner into the genre with open arms. Recently, the 78-year-old Parton took to social media to support Beyonce as one of her biggest fans.
Dolly Parton and Beyonce Are Now in the County Music Genre Together
Beyonce is new to the country music game, but the singer is already proving why she is a force to reckon with. Recently, the star surprised fans when she dropped two new country songs โ Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages. A few days later, Texas Hold ‘Em debuted at No. 1 on the US chart, making Beyonce the first Black woman to top the Billboard Country Charts. Parton congratulated Beyonce on her success in crossing into a new music genre in the wake of the milestone.ย
“I’m a big fan of Beyoncรฉ and very excited she’s done a country genre. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single,” she wrote in a statement on Instagram.
The Jolene hitmaker added that she couldn’t wait to hear the full version of Beyonce’s Country album.
Fans Praise Dolly Parton for Supporting Beyonce
Shortly after Parton shared the statement, fans trooped to the comments section to commend the icon for the show of support.
“This is how you do it! Icons supporting icons! Love you forever Dollyโคโค,” a fan wrote.
Another follower described Parton as an example to many, adding that they wished everyone could have the singer’s grace. A third fan with similar thoughts thanked Parton for being an example of kindness, acceptance, and collaboration. “You are the end all, be all,” they added.
