Every region in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has a story to it. One that encompasses an anecdote that’s worth telling about the areas that the party is journeying through. The Phenomenon Intel, as it’s called, can be a bit of a pain to get through, but their stories are worth it for lore wizards. You can check out all of the other intel locations across different regions in our complete guide to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

The Phenomenon Intel locations in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth provide extra story flair for each region. They allow you to explore in a way you hadn’t before to locations you probably didn’t think to go. There will also be some new friends, and familiar faces you’ll meet along the way as you complete them. By investigating all of the locations below, you’ll get a sweet cutscene about the eccentric swordsman you encountered in Nibel.

Cloud and the other party members encounter a group of bandits and their leader, Beck. The bandits are interested in the protorelic and Cloud just won’t have that, challenging them at every corner. You end up giving them some money to essentially leave you alone, but you walk away with the protorelic.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: Wild Bandit Chase
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: One Badass Barbecue
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: Diversionary Tactics
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: Taking Care of Business

Junon

The Phenomenon Intel you encounter in Junon greatly deals with a mini-game titled Fort Condor. In it, you’re defending your character from the enemy in a tower-defense style of gameplay. After defeating all four intel levels, you’ll unlock Hard mode.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: The World of Fort Condor
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: O Captain! My Captain!
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: Princess in Another Castle
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: Interdimensional Warlock

Corel Region

The Phenomenon Intel in Corel introduces the gang to Kid G, a stylish goblin wearing a beanie and boxing gloves. He’s hidden inside of Cactuar reactors and once found, asks you to complete a trial. However, you’ll need to find Cactuar rock formations first using a different relic before you can do that. Fortunately, you’re given the protorelic for all of your hard work.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: Treasure Protector G
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: Kid G’s Trial
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: Unfriendly Competition
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: Bladesman of Legend

Gongaga

In Gongaga, the Phenomenon Intel information is more based on a series of VR missions issued by the Turks. You’re able to use these missions to train yourself as well as play as both Sephiroth and Zack at the end of the game. Once you complete all of the missions at all four locations, you’ll be granted the protorelic.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: Turks Training
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: Dissident Destruction
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: His Personal Escorts
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: Training Facility B-T

Cosmo Canyon

The Cosmo Canyon Phenomenon Intel takes players familiar with Avalanche and the events that took place in the previous game. As these memories flood Cloud and the gang, you’ll also get the chance to play a mini-game titled Gears and Gambits. It’s not as difficult as Fort Condor is in my opinion, so you should be able to get all of the intel and swipe the protorelic in no time.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: Avalanche HQ
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: Left Behind
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: Memories of the Fallen
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: The River of Lights

Nibel Region

The Sephiroth clones in black robes are just walking along the roads of Nibel, pointing. Each location leads Cloud and the party to an area where monsters wield parts of the protorelic. By the last bit of intel, you’ll challenge against the eccentric swordsman you have seen at the end of collecting each location.

  • Phenomenon Intel 1: Testing the Waters
  • Phenomenon Intel 2: Disquiet on the Docks
  • Phenomenon Intel 3: Cursed Confidant
  • Phenomenon Intel 4: Wayward Soul
