In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, William reminisced about his days on Shameless and revealed that he misses his old Southside gang a lot. He also joked about Jeremy’s recent Calvin Klein Underwear success and what it is like to see his former co-star’s billboards everywhere.
Early this year, Jeremy Allen White’s female fans were drooling when Calvin Klein revealed that The Bear star was dressed in boxer briefs for one ad. A second shows Jeremy wearing unbuttoned jeans teasingly pulled down to his thighs and a wet tee shirt. Needless to say, Jeremy Allen White’s Instagram exploded, and Calvin Kelin’s new underwear model campaign nearly broke the Internet.
William H. Macy laughs and shares that he is following the success of Jeremy and the rest of the Shameless cast members. However, he teases that, as his father, he felt the need to tell his TV son to “put some pants on.”
Jeremy Allen White’s Success Makes TV Dad Proud
William H. Macy is very proud of Jeremy Allen White’s success since Shameless ended its run in 2021. Jeremy currently stars on the popular and award-winning FX series The Bear.
Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy, a young chef who returns home to Chicago to run his family’s sandwich shop following a heartbreaking death. Since the show premiered in 2023, it has become a huge hit, and Jeremy has raked in several awards, including a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series.
Despite their love for Jeremy in The Bear, TV fans claim they can’t help but miss the Shameless days with both superstars Jeremy Allen White and William H. Macy. But the past is the past, and William couldn’t be happier for Jeremy. He adds,
“He’s got a huge career. I’m really proud of him. “I’m such a fan of The Bear.”
