If you thought the recently announced Cowboy Bebop collaboration was unexpected, you’d never see this next Overwatch 2 skin collab coming. Overwatch 2 will have another skin crossover with the luxury car brand, Porsche, and the possibilities are endless. Sports car Bastion? The payload turns into an excellent example of product placement? When the Overwatch 2 x Porsche collab begins, hopefully, the game gets a little more fast and furious.
Overwatch 2 x Porsche
One skin in this event has already been revealed. Expectedly, D.Va will be one of the heroes receiving a Porsche-themed skin, with concept art of the skin released. The concept art is fairly slick, with D.Va’s mech decked out with futuristic touches and the Porsche logo embedded with subtlety on the tail end of her mech. D.Va also looks pretty stellar, wearing snazzy racecar gloves and an awesomely short haircut.
D.Va’s skin is one of two legendary skins that will be released for this event. It’s currently unknown what the second legendary skin will be, but potential candidates could be other mecha-type characters, such as Wrecking Ball, Bastion, or even Orisa. We’ll be getting some other Porsche-themed cosmetics as well aside from the skins, and we’ll likely be getting some things for free as well.
The Overwatch 2 x Porsche event will go live sometime in Season 10. Meanwhile, you can enjoy and experience another crossover event on March 12, when Overwatch 2 collides with the world of Cowboy Bebop. The characters Cassidy, Ashe, Wrecking Ball, Sombra, and Mauga will get skins dressed up to the characters of the classic anime. A lifestyle replica of D.Va in her new Porsche-themed skin will also be available to view at a Porsche exhibit in Austin, Texas, so if you’re a dedicated D.Va fan, that’s something to look forward to.
