Hollywood couple Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal have both sadly passed away. Farrah died in 2009 from cancer, and Ryan passed away last December from congestive heart failure. Celebrity news followers may recall that the couple shared quite a love story. Some even felt he was so obsessed that he ignored her final wishes to get his way.
Farrah Fawcett & Ryan O’Neal Consider Themselves Soulmates
Ryan O’Neal and Farrah Fawcett had a deep love for one another. Though they had been dating on and off since 1979, they never married. But they considered each other the best friends and soul mates until Farrah died in 2009.
During their relationship, Ryan O’Neal never wanted to be away from Farrah. He stayed right by the Charlie’s Angels star’s side throughout her battle with colon cancer. Ryan was utterly devastated when he lost Farrah.
As much as Ryan O’Neal pledged his total love and devotion to Farrah Fawcett, not everyone favored the couple’s volatile relationship. Now that both of the stars have passed on, Farrah’s close friend and the executive producer of her 2009 documentary “Farrah’s Story” has come forward and revealed his displeasure with the pair’s relationship.
Ryan Ignored Farrah’s Last Request
Craig Nevius has major issues with how Ryan O’Neal manipulated his way around things to ensure he would rest beside his believed Farrah Fawcett for eternity. According to Radar Online, Ryan O’Neal ignored Farrah’s final wishes by alleging they never discussed the matter.
Her longtime pal claims Farrah had stated all along that her final wishes were to be cremated and taken to her home state of Texas. Instead, and even though Ryan and Farrah were never married, he took it upon himself to have her laid to rest at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary.
Ryan O’Neal also clarified that he was to be buried next to Farrah. Craig is furious because he noticed Ryan ONeal’s name had recently been added to Farrah Fawcett’s headstone. He claims it upsets him because he knows this was what she wanted. He feels Ryan O’Neal was selfish and despicable for ignoring the love of his life’s last request.
“Truly disgusting. More disgusting than Ryan saying that he would marry Farrah on her deathbed. Even if he had to nod her head for her,” her friend added. “Ryan got what he wanted. He and Farrah are now co-stars in eternity,” Nevius told RadarOnline.com. “This is the ultimate act of celebrity entitlement and narcissism.”
