Following his death, allegations about Perry being emotionally, verbally, and even physically abusive at times were revealed. Sources claim that the actor was dishonest about his sobriety over the years, which led him to act out and cause harm to others around him.
After the abuse claims were made public, the cast, which includes Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, were said to be very upset. Perry’s former co-stars are reportedly angry about the allegations coming out after his death, per In Touch.

“They all want to remember the kind and loving Matthew they know. It’s appalling he’s getting torn apart when he’s not here to defend himself,” an insider tells the outlet.
Meanwhile, the cast allegedly has other motives for wanting to keep Matthew Perry’s name out of the media. “They have a vested interest in keeping the Friends brand thriving since there are streaming deals to be renewed and lucrative reunions to be organized,” the insider continued. “Having the brand tainted by association is a massive headache. They depend on those residuals. Friends money has allowed them all to be extremely picky about the work they’ve chosen ever since.”
Recently, Jennifer Aniston revealed that she wanted fans to remember Perry in a positive light and “celebrate” him following his passing. However, she’s allegedly been butting heads with her famous pal George Clooney. The actor reportedly wants to be honest about Perry’s addiction issues in hopes of helping others. However, Aniston is said to want to remember the best of Perry.
