With each update, HoYoverse fans are divided into those who pull for a character for their kit and those who only want a new waifu or husbando. This time, both groups are equally thrilled with the latest announcement of a new playable character for Genshin Impact, who has all the features to be the best Daddy (more on that later). After all the demos, trailers, leaks, and many prayers, Genshin Impact finally presented the drip marketing of Arlecchino. So it seems an opportune moment to start saving Primogems for when her banner comes.
Genshin Impact Arlecchino Drip Marketing Gives a New Perspective on This Character
Arlecchino’s arrival is more imminent and closer than many expect. Fans know it because of the appearance of this drip marketing. Since the debut of this Fatui at La Signora’s funeral, many were eager to learn more about the Harbingers and to have them on their roster. However, the Tsaritsa’s followers are “the enemies”; some of Fontaine’s characters indicate otherwise, though. Lyney and Lynette are very close to “Father,” as they refer to Arlecchino, who adopted and cared for them as children. We know the title sounds strange, but we roll with it nonetheless.
In the description of this drip marketing, Genshin Impact narrates the night Arlecchino gets her title by replacing the former ‘Knave.’ At that same time, she became the new director of The House of the Hearth. This place is an orphanage that seeks out parentless children from all over Teyvat and cares for them into adulthood. Those orphans remain faithful to The House of the Hearth and the Fatui because they grow up as a family with ties stronger than blood. Among all the kids, though, those with potential join the Fatui. Arlecchino is proud of her “children” and even shows herself as a good Father; she has a close relationship with them and knows their personalities well.
While it makes Arlecchino look all lovey-dovey, there are still doubts about whether she is a considerate person who loves her kids or if she sees them as soldiers who are easier to manipulate. Of all the recent characters we’ve seen, this one is the one I’m most excited about. Hopefully, we’ll get her demo and presentation soon because we can’t wait to see what The Knave has in store for us.
