In a recent appearance on The View, Whoopi Goldberg revealed that she “doesn’t believe” former president Donald Trump is real. Rather hilariously, the broadcast cut to commercial immediately after for comedic timing. She theorized that Donald Trump’s public appearances are the byproduct of artificial intelligence.
Her remark came at the end of a segment about South Carolina Gov. Kristi Noem, who used a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, to promote dental work she’d received from a Texas business.
Goldberg’s The View co-host, Joy Behar, named other politicians who could promote businesses to such success, suggesting how Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis can sell “platform shoes,” while also reminding the panel that Trump already has “those ridiculous sneakers,” referring to his outrageous brand known as Trump Sneakers.

Goldberg swooped in to give her own two cents on Trump, who is hopeful to be reinstated as president during this year’s presidential election.
“I have to say this before we go: I don’t believe Trump is actually out there,” she confessed. “I think that’s an AI of him.”
The whole table was taken aback by Goldberg’s claim, but that didn’t stop her from elaborating.
“I think a lot of that has been AI,” she said. “That’s just my opinion, but that’s what I think.”
While Goldberg’s theory might sound a little out there, she’s most likely sourced her opinion from the Associated Press, which reported that photos of Trump with Black supporters had been created using artificial intelligence.
AP reported that the images had “not been linked to the Trump campaign,” yet the outlet did acknowledge that they had circulated while Trump has been trying to win the Black vote that largely favors President Joe Biden.
Maybe Whoopi Goldberg isn’t so crazy after all.
