The Arisen will have a ton of screen time, so many players may want to make them look as good-looking as possible. While you can customize your protagonist at the start of the game, you may feel the need to alter your appearance as you progress the story. Getting a new haircut is pretty cheap, but you need to get the Art of Metamorphosis Tome to change your appearance entirely in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

You can change your appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by visiting a makeover shop at a major settlement. The first one you will encounter is Clovis’s Barberie in the capital city of Vernworth.

The shop owner will offer you five options:

  • Change Hairstyle – 10,000 Gold
  • Adjust Makeup – 10,000 Gold
  • Give Markings – 10,000 Gold
  • Change Multiple – 25,000 Gold
  • Modify Appearance – Art of Metamorphosis Tome

If you want to entirely alter your Arisen’s or main Pawn’s appearance, you must pick the last option. This will bring you back to the character creation screen, where you can change everything about your character, even the gender.

While you can quickly get Gold by completing side quests, obtaining an Art of Metamorphosis tome is harder. You can purchase this rare object at Pawn Guild in Vernworth for 500 Rift Crystals (RC). Some players may mistakenly believe they must dip their hands in microtransactions and buy a DLC to get this currency if they wish to change their appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

This is false because you can get Rift Crystals by simply playing the game. First, you may get lucky and discover some RC inside treasure chests. Second, you can obtain a small amount by activating Riftstones during your adventure. Lastly, you can receive RC when another player hires your main Pawn.
