In an emotional video, the Princess revealed her cancer diagnosis, which was detected following her planned abdominal surgery in January. Aside from a follow-up statement confirming the Princess would only return to royal duties when her doctors deem her fit to do so, the palace has refrained from sharing further updates about Kate since her cancer revelation. The queen consort made an exception on Wednesday during a visit to the farmer’s market in Shrewsbury. Her visit saw Queen Camilla address the gathering crowd, and accept goodwill items on behalf of Kate Middleton.
She indulged two young girls bearing handmade posters for the princess. When one of them sweetly asked if Queen Camilla would hand over the cards to Kate, she replied affirmatively, reassuring the girls that she “shall send this off to Catherine.” She also thanked the youngsters, adding she would ensure Kate knew it came from them. Queen Camilla continued to address the crowd, sharing Kate’s thoughts on the outpouring of love she’s received so far. She quipped,
“I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support.”
