One key aspect of any modern MMO is the addition of seasonal events, and FFXIV isn’t an exception. After a decade of being one of the most-played multiplayer installments, Final Fantasy 14 has many events players can participate in to earn themed rewards for that particular holiday. However, with some people taking the occasional break or drowning in the world of live-service games we have nowadays, having a calendar with all this MMO’s past and ongoing events doesn’t hurt.
All Ongoing Seasonal Events in FFXIV (2024)
Most players might’ve finished the game’s story already but might still want to know when the seasonal events of FFXIV are. So far, it seems 2024 will be one of the most packed years for this MMO. With a new expansion on the way, a long-awaited collaboration, and more, you should mark your calendar with the following dates.
Event | Date |
---|---|
The Path Infernal (FFXIV x FFXVI collaboration) | April 2, 2024 to May 8, 2024 |
Little Ladies’ Day & Hatching-tide | March 14, 2024 to April 1, 2024 |
A Nocturne for Heroes (FFXIV x FFXV collaboration) | February 28, 2024 to March 13, 2024 |
Valentione’s Day (Valentine’s) | February 7, 2024 to February 21, 2024 |
Moogle Treasure Trove: The First Hunt for Genesis | January 30, 2024 to March 11, 2024 |
The Maiden’s Rhapsody (FFXIV x FFXI collaboration) | January 22, 2024 to February 5, 2024 |
Heavensturn (New Year’s) | December 31, 2023 to January 15, 2024. |
Regular Seasonal Events
For those who want to manage their subscription time and know exactly when to return to the game, we’ve compiled a list of past events as well. We’ll only include seasonal events in the following list and leave collaborations and treasure troves outside because the dates always change in FFXIV. However, seasonal events tend to occur during the same month every year, so we can all guess when they’ll return.
Event | Date |
---|---|
Heavensturn (New Year’s) | December-January |
Valentione’s Day (Valentine’s) | February |
Little Ladies’ Day (Hinamatsuri/Girls’ Day) | March-April |
Hatching-tide (Easter) | March-April |
The Make it Rain Campaign (Gold Saucer Event) | June-July |
Moonfire Faire (Bon Festival) | August |
The Rising (A Realm Reborn’s Anniversary) | August-October |
All Saints’ Wake (Halloween) | October-November |
Starlight Celebration (Christmas) | December |
Non-Regular Events
Before we wrap this up, we’d also like to include some collaborations and events we’ve had in the past that aren’t part of the usual schedule. All of them don’t have a specific date and might arrive one year or the other. Usually, the developers announce the return of an event during Live Letters and give players plenty of time to prepare for them.
Event | Description |
---|---|
Moogle Treasure Troves | These events usually happen before the launch of a major patch or expansion. |
A Nocturne for Heroes | This event is a collaboration with FFXV. The event took place in 2019, 2021, and 2024. |
Blunderville | This was a collaboration with Fall Guys and took place in 2023. It has only happened once. |
The Maiden’s Rhapsody | A collaboration event with FFXI. It took place in 2017, 2020, 2022, and 2024. |
For these last seasonal events of FFXIV, it might be hard to pinpoint the exact date that they will occur, but usually, the developers try to squeeze them in every so many years. Now, with the FFXVI coming up, we’ll have another event to put in our calendars. Hopefully, Dawntrail will bring more things for players to see and do because seasonal rewards are quite coveted, and if you don’t get them while the event is happening, you’ll have to pay real money to obtain them or wait for the event to return.
