Fans are crossing their fingers they get an Ariana Grande Met Gala appearance next month. The star-studded event is set to be held on May 6. Celebrities like Zendaya and Bad Bunny are already confirmed to be on the guest list. Although the “Yes, And?” singer hasn’t revealed whether she’ll attend yet, her Instagram activity hints it’s possible.
An Ariana Grande Met Gala Appearance Could Totally Happen
The star recently raised eyebrows by following the official Met Gala account on Instagram. Since the event is in just a few weeks, fans hope Grande is teasing she’ll make a surprise appearance during the show. If it happens, she’ll surely break the internet since Grande hasn’t been at the Met Gala in six years.
The last (and only) time the Wicked actress attended the Met Gala was in 2018. At the time, she turned heads by wearing a custom gown by Vera Wang. The dress was inspired by Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement, which is the iconic piece of art covering the wall of the Sistine Chapel. To go along with the look, Grande wore her hair in her signature high ponytail, which was held together by a long, golden bow. She looked divine, which fit the night’s theme of “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
According to The Met’s official website, the dress code for the 2024 Met Gala will be “The Garden of Time.” This year’s event will celebrate the institute’s latest exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. Celebrities who are set to attend are Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Anna Wintour, and Zendaya, who will all act as co-chairs.
It’ll be interesting to see if Grande attends the 2024 Met Gala alone or with her boyfriend, Ethan Slater. The pair have been dating since last summer. However, they’ve yet to make their red carpet-debut together.
