If there’s something I love about Fallout 76, it is the plethora of options it gives me when it comes to defeating enemies. Whether it is making a ghoul explode, incinerating a Scorched, or more, there’s always a new way to bring peace to Appalachia. However, one of the guns that does this satisfyingly and destructively is the Gatling Laser of Fallout 76. While it’ll cost you a lot of materials and caps to unlock, getting it for your arsenal is one of the best things you can do.

Contrary to other early-game weapons, you must do a few things before adding the Gatling Laser to your Fallout 76 inventory. While you can pray and wait for the RNG to give you this gun’s plans, there is one way to get them that doesn’t involve randomized loot.

  1. Head to the Abandoned Waste Dump at the east side of the map to begin the Enclave questline.
  2. You need to enter the Whitespring Bunker (next to Whitespring Resort) and finish all MODUS quests, which also involve the Enclave.
  3. Once you finish them, you can buy the Gatling Laser plans inside the Bunker.

Alternatively, you can do public events to get the plans as a random reward, but this will take time, and getting the blueprints isn’t guaranteed.

Crafting the Gatling Laser

Regardless of how you get the plans, you need to head to a weapons workshop to start building your weapon. Here are the materials you’ll need:

Fiber Optics x10Fiber Optics x11Fiber Optics x12
Gears x8Gears x10Gears x12
Plastic x18Plastic x20Plastic x21
Steel x27Steel x29Steel x32

Furthermore, you also need the Science Master perk under the Intelligence S.P.E.C.I.A.L tree to craft this gun.

Once you have all the things we mentioned above, you can start putting some laser holes into your enemies. This weapon is a must-have if you’re gun on a laser-focused build. If not, we recommend looking at other equally destructive guns that are much easier to build.
